Checking a casino licence number

Each brand with its own licence profile.

The casinos

All licence profiles

One profile per casino: licence, regulator, licence number, operator and sister sites, every value with its source.

A licence number is the shortest route from the line in a casino's footer to the entry kept by the licensing authority. Anyone who wants to verify a casino licence needs three things: the number, the name of the licensee company and the public register of the issuing authority. For the brands profiled here, Bizzo, KatsuBet, Posido and Neospin, numbers are known, each marked as verified according to casino.guru. Whether a register confirms them differs from brand to brand.

As of 08.10.2026, number, company and domain are fully confirmed with the regulator for only one of the tracked brands: Neospin is listed with ALSI-202509073-FI2 and the domain neospin.com in the Anjouan register, valid until 29.09.2027. For Posido, number and company (Stellar Ltd) match the Anjouan register, but the domain posido.com does not appear in any entry there. For Bizzo and KatsuBet no lookup is possible, because the Curaçao Gaming Authority has shut down its portal. None of the tracked brands appears in the GGL whitelist (retrieved 02.10.2026).

Licence number: format per regulator

Every licensing authority assigns numbers according to its own scheme, and the format alone tells you where to look. Anjouan Gaming uses the pattern ALSI, followed by nine digits and the suffix FI with one digit. The dataset embedded in the register page contained a total of 1,543 licences on 08.10.2026, all with the status valid: 1,311 for offering games to players (B2C), 177 for service providers (B2B) and 55 combined. The numbers of the Curaçao brands start with OGL, followed by a year and two blocks of digits, for example OGL/2024/590/0758 for Bizzo.

Estonia separates two documents: the Tax and Customs Board (EMTA) issues an activity licence with the prefix HKT and an operating permit with the prefix HKL; both are entered in the Register of Economic Activities (MTR). Which authority runs which register and what its entries show is set out in the overview of regulators per licensing authority.

A number on its own does not prove a licence for a specific website. Anjouan and Estonia assign numbers to a company, and the company reports its domains. Every check therefore involves three fields: number, licensee and domain. If one of them is missing from the register, the casino's claim remains unconfirmed, even if the number itself exists.

Where to check a licence number: the registers at a glance

The public register of Anjouan can be searched by licence number, company name or domain. The result shows the registered name, the number, the type (B2C or B2B) and the status; the authority updates the data periodically. The statuses provided are Active, Suspended, Revoked and Expired, and only Active entitles a company to operate. According to the registry disclaimer, a listed domain only confirms that it was reported to the authority as part of the licensed activity, not ownership of the domain or the brand.

The Malta Gaming Authority keeps a Licensee Register that can be searched by licensee, authorisation status, URL or gaming service. In addition, it publishes an Enforcement Register and a list of unauthorised URLs naming websites that wrongly claim an MGA licence. If a footer carries the abbreviation MGA, this register is the first place to check; none of the tracked brands cites a licence from Malta.

In Estonia, the EMTA publishes a list of legal operators, last updated on 01.10.2026, with links to the MTR. There, each company's operating permits are shown with their validity periods, together with the activity licences. The EMTA blocks websites of operators without an Estonian licence whose services are accessible in Estonia; by its own account, it holds no information on these sites.

The whitelist of the Joint Gambling Authority of the German states works differently. Each entry shows the organiser or intermediary, the type of gambling, address, distribution area, competent authority, websites and, for GGL permits, the date the permit was first granted, but no licence number. The search runs on name or domain via full-text search, filtered by type of gambling and competent authority. According to the GGL, permitted operators must state on their home page that they hold a state permit and which authority granted it. Why the whitelist for the German permit shows no number and what the whitelist has covered since 01.01.2023 is shown in the comparison with foreign licences.

Curaçao: portal closed since 07.10.2026

For the Curaçao numbers of Bizzo (OGL/2024/590/0758) and KatsuBet (OGL/2024/1307/0748), there is currently no way to check them with the regulator. The Curaçao Gaming Authority reported unauthorised access to its online gaming portal in September 2026, the portal was offline on 02.10.2026, and on 07.10.2026 the CGA announced that it will not be brought back into operation. A transitional solution has been announced, with the CGA naming 09.10.2026 as its target.

According to the CGA, existing licences remain valid; the shutdown affects neither their validity nor the obligations of licensees. It does, however, affect the digital seal that until now linked a domain to its licence. The authority intends to introduce an alternative mechanism for proving that a domain is licensed by the CGA.

Since 24.12.2024 the legal basis has been the Landsverordening op de kansspelen (LOK); the former Gaming Control Board has since been called the Curaçao Gaming Authority. This explains why KatsuBet's own responsible gaming page refers to the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, while casino.guru names the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Both refer to the same authority.

The licence profiles compared

The table summarises which licensing authorities and numbers casino.guru lists for each brand and who acts as operator. The register situation partly differs; the paragraphs below record what the authorities show as of 08.10.2026.

According to casino.guru, Bizzo holds a Curaçao licence; AskGamblers also names the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, while casino.guru and lcb.org do not. There is also an entry in Estonia: the EMTA list of 01.10.2026 shows Moon Technologies OÜ with Bizzo Casino and other brands of the same operator, and the MTR lists the operating permits HKL000381 and HKL000382 for this company. All details on the Bizzo licence, including the operator data, are in the brand's profile.

KatsuBet cites a licence from Curaçao on its own home page; the number for it comes from casino.guru and was not found on the operator's site. casino.guru and AskGamblers name Scores55 Tech B.V. as operator, whereas lcb.org names Kika Technology B.V. as owner. How the KatsuBet licence can be assessed without a working CGA portal is shown in the brand's profile.

Posido is where the data diverge most. According to casino.guru, the brand holds the Anjouan licence ALSI-202411077-FI2 and the Estonian number HKL000354, with Stellar Ltd as operator. According to the Anjouan register (as of 08.10.2026), ALSI-202411077-FI2 does belong to Stellar Ltd, valid until 21.11.2026, but its domain list of 18 entries does not include posido.com, and the domain does not appear in any other of the 1,543 entries either. In Estonia, the EMTA list shows www.posido.com under Estolio Limited; the MTR lists the permits HKL000355 and HKL000543 for this company, and the number HKL000354 is not found there. AskGamblers also names PAGCOR. The profile of the Posido licence sets out both readings side by side.

For Neospin, all three fields match: the Anjouan register lists Metlait SRL with ALSI-202509073-FI2, type B2C, issued on 30.09.2025 and valid until 29.09.2027; neospin.com is in the domain list, alongside domains of other brands of the same operator. According to casino.guru, the second licence from the Tobique Gaming Commission carries the number 0000064. Further information on the Neospin licence is in the brand profile.

For all tracked brands, the name of the licensee company decides, because the registers are sorted by company and not by brand. Who stands behind a number and which other domains the same company reports is shown in the overview of operators with all known company names.

Licence numbers for slot machines: a permit per game

In Germany, the approval of a slot is tied to the individual game: under § 22a GlüStV 2021, permit holders may only offer a virtual slot game if the competent authority has previously approved exactly this game on application. A version of the game must be submitted for inspection, and material changes to a game also require their own permit. The whitelist does not show a number per slot machine.

The Anjouan register has no permit per game: it records company, status, number, type, issue date, expiry date and domains, that is, the operator's licence and not that of individual slots. An Anjouan number next to a slot machine therefore belongs to the licence of the company that runs the website.

Validity of a licence: expiry date and status

A number can exist and still have expired. That is why the Anjouan register shows the issue and expiry dates. For the Anjouan licences of the profiled brands, issue and expiry are two years apart. Licensees may display the Anjouan seal only unaltered and only for licensed domains; it must link directly to the verification page in the register and be removed in the event of suspension, revocation or expiry.

In Estonia, validity periods are shown in the MTR. For Estolio Limited, HKL000355 runs from 07.05.2021 to 07.05.2041 and HKL000543 from 10.07.2026 to 10.07.2031; for Moon Technologies OÜ, HKL000382 runs until 31.03.2042 and HKL000381 until 31.03.2027. According to the EMTA, a licence from Estonia does not entitle a company to offer gambling in another EEA state, and a licence from another EEA state does not entitle it to offer gambling in Estonia.

For PAGCOR, the question has been settled for online offers: with effect from 15.12.2024, all Internet Gaming Licensees were struck off under Executive Order No. 74. According to PAGCOR, any website claiming a valid internet gaming licence from the authority is unauthorised.

Short answers

Frequently asked questions about licence numbers

How do I check the licence of an online casino?

Write down the number and company name from the footer, identify the licensing authority by the format (ALSI for Anjouan, OGL for Curaçao, HKL for Estonia) and search that authority's register by number, company or domain. The claim is only confirmed when status, company and domain match. For Germany, the check runs on name or domain in the GGL whitelist.

Is a Curaçao licence currently valid?

According to the CGA, existing licences remain valid despite the online portal being shut down on 07.10.2026. OGL numbers cannot be checked with the regulator at the moment; a transitional solution and a replacement for the digital seal have been announced.

Why does the GGL whitelist not show a licence number?

The whitelist is organised by operator. Each entry names the organiser, type of gambling, address, distribution area, competent authority, websites and, for GGL permits, the date the permit was first granted; a number is not among the fields.

Does every slot machine have its own licence number?

In Germany, every virtual slot game needs its own permit under § 22a GlüStV 2021, but the whitelist shows no number for it. The Anjouan register only records company licences with their domains, not individual games.

What does B2C mean for an Anjouan licence?

B2C stands for licensees that offer games directly to players, B2B for service providers. In the register of 08.10.2026, 1,311 of 1,543 licences were B2C, including those of Metlait SRL and Stellar Ltd.

How long does an Anjouan licence run?

The register shows the issue and expiry date of every licence. For the entries of the brands profiled here, there are two years in between: Stellar Ltd from 22.11.2024 to 21.11.2026, Metlait SRL from 30.09.2025 to 29.09.2027.
